The Blizzard Firebird GS Race skis are an ideal choice for the U14 and U16 range of racers who are looking to take their competitive skills to the next level and beyond. Available in 170, 177, and 184 cm lengths, these skis are built and shaped to accommodate junior racers and more in their pursuit of fast, clean carved turns in the race course and on the groomers. It sounds a bit strange to have a 184 cm ski be labeled as a non-adult race ski, but that's just the way these skis are categorized in the race world. For these age ranges, these are the only possible lengths that they ski. If you are a competitive racer and need help selecting a ski, your coach is a great place to start, and hopefully you end up on this page ready to get some of the fastest, strongest, and most precise Giant Slalom race skis on the planet. Built with technologies right out of the World Cup race room, these skis are constructed with a wood core and two sheets of metal for the ultimate in carving power, precision, and stability. *Returned skis that have been mounted are subject to a 20-25% restocking fee. If you are unsure about keeping the skis or your boot size we recommend shipping the skis & bindings unmounted.
Where to Find Your Boot Sole Length (BSL)
The boot sole length is not your foot size or boot size; it is a millimeter measurement of the boot shell. Ski boot manufacturers emboss this measurement into the plastic shell at the heel or under the arch. The number will fall between 255-365mm for an adult ski boot. This number will be greater than your mondo boot size (
eg.
a mondo size of 23.5 commonly has a BSL of 275mm). Please include the “mm” unit to indicate that the number given is the BSL and not the mondo size. Without this precise manufacturer's measurement, we cannot mount your skis.
If we are given incorrect mounting info, the buyer will be responsible for any remounting or restocking fees.
Binding Check:
Buyer is responsible
for taking Ski + Binding to a certified ski shop before use to make final adjustments and do a safety release check.  We do NOT set DIN levels.
Product Availability
Our eBay store shares much of its inventory with our family-owned retail store in Stowe, VT and sometimes our inventory is not accurate due to purchases made locally. If you purchase something that is sold out, we will try our best to find you a suitable replacement item. Any payment for an item that is not available will be refunded immediately. Keep in mind that weekend purchases are not finalized until Monday due to our eBay Department schedule.
