By placing an additional strip of carbon along the inside edges of the skis, you get a good deal more power and grip versus the previous model. Skiers who may have felt the "older" Ripstick was too soft underfoot will definitely like these changes. In addition to holding a stronger edge in a carved turn, the skis are also quicker thanks to this addition, as carbon really livens up the ski, especially underfoot. For quick turns and fans of moguls and trees, the Elan Ripstick 88 offers all you can dream of. They're light and fast with a ton of energy. The wood core combined with the carbon rods that run the length of the ski create an incredible amount of power for such a light weight. This makes bumps and trees totally accessible, and available for mastery for a number of different levels of skier. *Returned skis that have been mounted are subject to a 20-25% restocking fee. If you are unsure about keeping the skis or your boot size we recommend shipping the skis & bindings unmounted.
Where to Find Your Boot Sole Length (BSL)
The boot sole length is not your foot size or boot size; it is a millimeter measurement of the boot shell. Ski boot manufacturers emboss this measurement into the plastic shell at the heel or under the arch. The number will fall between 255-365mm for an adult ski boot. This number will be greater than your mondo boot size (
eg.
a mondo size of 23.5 commonly has a BSL of 275mm). Please include the “mm” unit to indicate that the number given is the BSL and not the mondo size. Without this precise manufacturer's measurement, we cannot mount your skis.
If we are given incorrect mounting info, the buyer will be responsible for any remounting or restocking fees.
Binding Check:
Buyer is responsible
for taking Ski + Binding to a certified ski shop before use to make final adjustments and do a safety release check.  We do NOT set DIN levels.
Product Availability
Our eBay store shares much of its inventory with our family-owned retail store in Stowe, VT and sometimes our inventory is not accurate due to purchases made locally. If you purchase something that is sold out, we will try our best to find you a suitable replacement item. Any payment for an item that is not available will be refunded immediately. Keep in mind that weekend purchases are not finalized until Monday due to our eBay Department schedule.
