The Elan Ripstick 88 women's skis with bindings are an amazing setup for true light-weight all-mountain skiing. You won't find a setup better than this if you're looking to cruise the whole mountain with some serious versatility built in. Thanks to the shape, profile, and construction of the skis, the Ripstick 88 W loves to be put to the test. There's a huge number of skiers who could get on this ski and be all set with everything else. They're light, fun, floaty, and precise all at the same time. Elan does some pretty cool stuff with their ski building, from inserting carbon tubes into the core to rockering only the outside edges. Since they build right and left-specific skis, they're able to alter the shape and build to suit our needs. Amphibio rocker is the story here, and makes it so the skis are incredibly smooth and easy to turn while the inside edges remain stable and stout. Thanks to their Carbon Line Technology, the skis get a boost of carbon over the inside edges, and this helps make that carved turn a lot more precise and grippy. The cool thing is that they're able to accomplish all of this without adding the weight of a metal laminate. Keeping it all wood and carbon is pretty cool these days, and it helps Elan distinguish itself from the competition. The shovels are light and floaty thanks to the Vapor Tip inserts, but the underfoot and tail of the ski are very responsive and energetic. Where to Find Your Boot Sole Length (BSL)
The boot sole length is not your foot size or boot size; it is a millimeter measurement of the boot shell. Ski boot manufacturers emboss this measurement into the plastic shell at the heel or under the arch. The number will fall between 255-365mm for an adult ski boot. This number will be greater than your mondo boot size (
eg.
a mondo size of 23.5 commonly has a BSL of 275mm). Please include the “mm” unit to indicate that the number given is the BSL and not the mondo size. Without this precise manufacturer's measurement, we cannot mount your skis.
If we are given incorrect mounting info, the buyer will be responsible for any remounting or restocking fees.
Binding Check:
Buyer is responsible
for taking Ski + Binding to a certified ski shop before use to make final adjustments and do a safety release check.  We do NOT set DIN levels.
Product Availability
Our eBay store shares much of its inventory with our family-owned retail store in Stowe, VT and sometimes our inventory is not accurate due to purchases made locally. If you purchase something that is sold out, we will try our best to find you a suitable replacement item. Any payment for an item that is not available will be refunded immediately. Keep in mind that weekend purchases are not finalized until Monday due to our eBay Department schedule.
