3.97lb Turkish Purple Jadite Jade Rough Carving Block

Description

This is a solid almost 4 lb block of of extremely rare Turkish purple jadeite with incredible color saturation. This material is extremely hard to find, especially in this quality or specimen size, as the one known deposit in Turkey has been mined out for years and much of it has been slabbed, cabbed or ended up in a private collection.
At 3.97lbs or 1803g this specimen measures 5"(127mm)across the cut face, 3 3/4"(97mm) tall and 3 3/4"(97mm) deep.
