Antique Victorian Edwardian Gibson Girl Trousseau Underpinning Corset Base Petticoat.

DESCRIPTION:
Very Good Condition! Pleasantly s
oft & the typical trousseau garment colour of cream.
The wide upper panel allows the corset to sit flat & smooth
against the panel while the rest of the petticoat billows outward from below.
This becomes
your first layer of petticoats after your bloomers, to help accentuate the silhouette.
At the base of the skirting just above the flounce is a wide band of 8 petite
pin tucks.
The flounce below is of fine, embroidered tissue lawn with cut-work motifs.
Some age marks/age stains. See all remarks below.
Closes with 3 original mother of pearls buttons at centre on smooth corset base panel.
CONDITION & REMARKS:
Good Wearable Condition. Soft.
Has some wear/some missing scallops along base flounce hem.
One small hole in flounce. Age marks/age stains at the waistline to the right of the button placket.
Fraying at the very top of band just to the right of the age marks at the waistband.
Fraying at the very top of band near the frontal centre age marks. Hard to see.
Few on the interior waist, some small marks in the exterior front at the waist.
Held to light I see but a few pin dot holes in the main skirting.
Numbers on the interior band.
Fraying at top buttonhole,will need some stitches to strengthen.
If there are any flaws in the crochet trim or elsewhere,
I cannot see them.
