There are no major dents present(other than near the finger hook/pictured) and the minor dents don't affect performance. This vintage handmade french horn has scratches and lacquer wear throughout from normal use, with approximately 50% of the remaining lacquer intact(not sure if it's original).

    Description

    Up for auction is a rare and used professional C. F. Schmidt double french horn.  All rotor valves/slides move freely and the piston thumb valve is sluggish(with no worn through plating).  There are no major dents present(other than near the finger hook/pictured) and the minor dents don't affect performance.  This vintage handmade french horn has scratches and lacquer wear throughout from normal use, with approximately 50% of the remaining lacquer intact(not sure if it's original). There are NO patches or holes in the bell, slides, mouthpipe and the serial number is in the upper 39,xxx range. It's unknown when it was last serviced/cleaned and there are several loose braces that can be addressed by the next owner. Included is a somewhat used french horn case(one case latch catches and others need repair and has a replacement handle). No mouthpiece is included. This is being sold in "as-is" condition!!
