Edwardian Beige Black Stripe Woven Chambray Dress Bishop Sleeve Blouse SkirtThis antique Edwardian era beige and black stripe woven chambray dress bishop sleeve blouse, skirt set dates from 1905. It is made of a beige, black and white chain link stripes woven chambray cotton fabric. This gorgeous Gibson Girl style two piece dress has a pouter pigeon silhouette bodice blouse with band collar, layered pleated shawl shoulder drape, long billowing bishop sleeves fuller at the bottom with a gathered cuff trimmed with pretty painted enamel brass buttons also trimming the front top, hidden snap closures along the front side, mother of pearl buttons at the waist attaching the skirt waistband and is fully lined in a polished cotton fabric with inside camisole hook front closures sewn underneath. The top measures 21 inches long, with a 32 inch bust, 22 inch waist, 24 inch sleeve and 11 inch back. There is a matching long floor length full skirt with slight back train, ruched gathering details, snap hook closures on the back and is unlined. The skirt measures 41 inches long in the front, 48 inches long in the back, with a 22 inch waist and 44 inch hips. It is in good condition with only a small patched repair under one arm. This is truly a wonderful piece of Gibson Girl wearable art!
