Elan Ripstick 106, 181 length.
This is by far my favorite ski. If I had just one ski quiver it would this ski.
Don’t get intimidated by 106 width, it can handle anything and everything from Tahoe, CA powder to Killington, VT bulletproof ice runs, and anything in between. Anything the mountain throws at you this ski will eat with ease.
Due to its unique design there is a left and right ski, marked, and you don’t switch them. Your inside ski turns tighter radius than outside ski, and these skis have different profile on inside and outside edge. I was skeptical until my first run on super hard steep trail after snow guns at single digits temps, kind of a hard pack you can’t stick the ski pole in. I stitched together about 10 turns and stopped in disbelief how is it possible on this ski.
I like them so much that I just got the same ski, ripstick 106, same length, but black edition, it’s stiffer.
Bases are in good shape, I religiously hot waxed them every 3-4 ski days.
I’ll do the edges and wax them them again before shipping out.
Bindings are installed neutral at 0 on boot center. Installed for 27.5 boot size, sole length 315 mm. It’s adjustable to a different length within Marker usual range
