    Description

For sale is a matrix piece containing two
    Enchodus
fossil fish teeth and one small fish vertebrae in limestone matrix. The Enchodus fish teeth occur on the upper surface of the rock and the edge of the specimen contains the vertebrae. This specimen was collected from the Cretaceous-Paleogene boundary in central Arkansas and the fossils within it are uniquely exposed on the bedding plane. Fossil teeth, such as this specimen, were concentrated along with invertebrate fossils in an ancient shallow marine environment. The specimen is sturdy and glue has been applied to only one of the three fossils in this sample (a thin layer of glue has been applied to the larger of the two fish teeth). The back of the specimen has a circular saw cut.
    A very unique specimen
    from the "saber-toothed salmon",
    Enchodus
, dating back to the Cretaceous-Paleogene boundary and mass extinction event associated with the extinction of the dinosaurs and marine reptiles. A great addition to any collection!!
The fossils and relics I have listed are old (in most cases, millions of years old!). As a result, these authentic specimens may not be in perfect condition. Please review all associated pictures before you place a bid. Refunds will only be accepted for items damaged during shipping.
