    Description

    Here is an interesting fossil from the world-famous fossil beds of Fossil Lake, Green River Formation, Wyoming. From the Eocene, 52 million years ago.
    On one side is a fossil fry (baby fish). It looks to be a Diplomystus. It is very little, even for a fry. I see a tiny dorsal fin as well as the caudal fin, and of course the vertebrae and the head.  It measures about 17 mm. Please treat the plate lightly, it will be fine as long as it is not handled roughly.
    On the other side is a very cool part of a plant. Species undescribed, but please expand the photos to check out the delicate features.
    The plate is about 3.3" by 2.5", and it weighs 2.05 oz.
    A rare and very cool piece.  It is not cheap, but I haven't seen exactly this combined presentation on one plate quite like this.
