    Description

A Certificate of Authenticity will accompany this specimen.
Here is a very interesting set of grinding teeth from a Phacodus Punctatus.
From the late Cretaceous (85 to 66 million years) in Morocco. Found near Khourigba.
The Phacodus used these rounded teeth, and they made excellent crushers and grinders.
If you look closely, or better, use a loupe,  you can see tiny "dimples" in each tooth.  When I first saw one of these, many years ago, I wondered if they were real. Then I used a loupe to see the "dimples" and knew they were real.  The teeth here are in remarkable pristine condition.
The teeth on this plate are about 2.0 inches total length. The plate is about 3.1 inches at the longest measurement, and it weighs 6.0 oz.
There are also a number of very interesting bones showing in the matrix, including jawbone.
Commercial phosphates are big business in Morocco. This piece was saved by being pulled from the pile of rocks on their way to being crushed into phosphates.

COMBINED SHIPPING:  We make every effort to combine shipping costs and we refund any overpayment back to you, on the same day we ship the item.  We have given hundreds of partial refunds for combined shipping savings.  We will do our best to combine purchases to save shipping costs. In some cases, that is easy, in some cases, not as much.  Our items are of vastly different sizes and weights, but we never use shipping as a profit center.  We would rather refund the shipping overpayment back to you, and have a happy buyer.
We are happy to enclose a COA (Certificate of Authenticity).  Some words of caution about COA’s: Do not let them become a substitute for learning about the specimens. We have been working with fossils and minerals for many years, and we have seen hundreds of very nice-looking COA’s, some that are wrong, mis-describing a specimen. In addition, the person selling the item is often the one who writes the COA (potential conflict of interest). Finally, a COA, without a photo of the exact specimen on the COA itself,  is worthless, as it can later be placed next to any other fossil or mineral.  We suggest that in addition to relying on a COA, that people read and study the subject.
