Discover the thrill and excitement of a world long forgotten. Each of our Fossil Fish Dig Kits includes a REAL fossil fish from the Green River Formation in Kemmmer, Wyoming and is roughly 45 to 50 million years old.
For both adults and children, this kit is a great way to "get your hands dirty" and still experience what it is like to see a NATURAL fossil for the first time in millions of years!
The fish is cut out and centered on a piece of fossil shale, the specimen has been highlighted to distinguish between head and tail. Each fish will be from 3-4 inches in length and has been selected for completeness.
NOTE
: The fish photographed is representative of the type of specimen you will receive in your kit, there is sometimes a difference of coloration that is from light orange to deep brown amongst these fossils and is not shown until you begin to expose the fish fossil.
