    Description

Heavy Duty 3/4" x 2" Blacksmith Guillotine Tool
This tool is just like the other guillotine, but has a heavier frame, 3/4" spacers and uses
    3/4" x 2" dies
.  It also comes with 3 sets of dies, flat, fullering and unground blanks for shaping as you see. The mill scale has been removed from the blanks and initial grinding has been performed.  The dies and frame are made from A36 (.26% carbon) structural hot rolled steel, which allows for a lighter, but very strong tool.  I can make dies to order from A36 steel, or a higher carbon or alloy steel if desired at an additional cost.  The opening can accommodate stock up to 3" tall.  The mounting brackets have not been drilled, so it can be custom mounted for your application.  It can be mounted on to a 3" x 5" steel plate that can be as thin as 1/8" thick, or bolted to a bench, held in a vise, or on your anvil.
If you want a hardy shank mounted bolted, or welded (.75), please see my listing for it, then contact me for the size hardy you want.
I chose to use 3/8" bolts for the construction of this tool because the vertical spacers can move side to side 1/16" to accommodate dies that are a little less thin, or dies a little more than 2" wide.  Bolts also allow you to easily modify the tool as you see fit.
*Welding or riveting the tool locks you into to just one size, and makes modifications and adjustments much more difficult.
    *Suggestion:
To extend the life of the striking end of the dies, it is recommended that you use a brass hammer.

If, within 15 days of receipt, you are not happy with this tool , it can be returned for a full refund, less shipping.  If the tool is defective in any way, and has not been misused, I will also refund the original shipping costs, and the return shipping cost.
