Description:  Our Stations and Places is written as a textbook for the Officers and the Instruction Committees of Masonic Lodges in the New York Grand Jurisdiction. It deals with the Ritual, the Forms and Ceremonies and the Etiquette of the Craft.
To acquire a knowledge of the ritualistic mechanics of a Masonic Lodge is an achievement which should commend itself to all who take their Masonry seriously. It is not expected that it will furnish a quick and easy high road to Masonic understanding.
"Our Stations and Places" deals with some essentials of English speech, as discovered in our esoteric Work, and with some fundamentals of that Masonic thinking on which are based so many of our Lodge practices. It is written, too, for those brethren whose interest has sustaioned the Craft. Among these are many belonging to, but perhaps unwisely referred to, as "side-liners," men who have never held office but who are content to sit among their brethren and bask in the friendly radiance of their Lodge. Without them we would be poor indeed!
