    This is a positive negative specimen nodule from the early Triassic of Madagascar containing a beautiful , large extremely detailed whole fish known as PTERONISCULUS CICATROSIS. This is a true collector item from a nice collection.
    A top notch example of a genus that went extinct during the middle Triassic. Doubtful if a better example can be found for sale on the web at the moment…An interesting aspect of these nodules is that the two halves are not typically part/counterparts, but each retains the impressions of the opposite sides of the fish.
