    Description

    This is a wonderful vintage (circa 50's-70's) Aloha Dress in Size 18. Please note that modern day size 18 is much bigger than back in those days. Please use these measurements... You should not exceed bust of 41" or waist of 35". The hips are more forgiving due to the bustle pleats. It just looks best around 46". The center back length is 50". The fabric is all cotton and does not stretch. It does have a bit of a sheen to it and does not appear to wrinkle very much. Authentic signs that it is vintage and handcrafted include the edge finishes inside. They are either cut with pinking shears or turned under and sewn... no modern sewing machines were used. And yet you can see the quality work in that they made the piping that finishes the sleeve edges and defines the bodice and back. This is a piece of history in a beautiful dress.
