Vintage Black Silk Chiffon Chantilly Lace Pleated Ruffle Flounce Collar Gown & Slip
This vintage black silk chiffon Chantilly lace pleated ruffle flounce collar gown and slip dates from the 1930s. It is made of a black sheer silk chiffon fabric, with a finely pleated ruffle flounce collar and bottom skirt hemline trimmed with black Chantilly bobbin lace edging. This gorgeous gown maxi dress is a long floor length with a full skirt, backless except for a narrow strap across the top, sleeveless, low scoop necklines, side snap closures and is sheer, unlined. The dress measures 58 inches long, with a 36 inch bust, 28 inch waist and 38 inch hips. Included is a black silk charmeuse satin weave fabric bias cut, long floor length slip shoulder straps and is backless. The slip measures 58 inches long, with a 36 inch bust, 28 inch waist and 40 inch hips. It is in good condition, has not been cleaned, with only the dress having a small area of fraying along the lace trim bottom skirt hemline and some faint discoloration under the arms of the slip lining. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable art!
