Vintage Art Deco Black Silk Embroidered Blue Bugle Beaded Bug Dress
This vintage Art Deco black silk embroidered blue bugle beaded bug drop waist dress dates from the 1920s. It is made of a black silk crepe de chine fabric, with blue silk stitched embroidery and iridescent blue bugle beading done in abstract bug designs around the neckline collar and cuffs. This fun fashionable dress has a loose fitting drop waist style, decorative blue silk scalloped trim around the midsection, long full sleeves and is unlined. The dress is a large size measuring 48 inches long, with a 42 inch bust, 42 inch waist, 56 inch hips, 15 inch back and 20 inch long sleeves. It is in good as-is condition, with a few loose missing beads, some fraying of the blue silk trim edging lining inside and a mended repair on one sleeve (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful piece of Art Deco wearable art!
