Edwardian Orange Silk Chiffon White Beaded Cherries Handkerchief Skirt Tabard Dress
This antique Edwardian era orange silk chiffon white beaded cherries handkerchief skirt tabard dress dates from 1918. It is made of a orange sheer silk chiffon fabric, with white beaded cherries and striped trim edging. This lush orange beaded dress has a layered tabard style top overlay, handkerchief hem sleeve cuffs, tea length skirt, an attached belted tie sash on back with silk covered ball trim, snap closures along the front side top, waist and is fully lined in a orange silk fabric. The dress measures 48 inches long, with a 38 inch bust, 28 inch waist, 46 inch hips, 25 inch long sleeve and a 15 inch back. It is in fair as-is condition needing some restoration or could be upcycled, used for pattern design. There are some loose missing beads, a frayed rip along the side waist, bottom front skirt hem and two holes on the front skirt (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable art!
