Up for bid is a
sensational
vintage square dance dress with a full circle skirt. The vintage tag reads "40" (European, most likely) but please see "How I Measure" and measurements below to ensure a proper fit. It measures and fits small to medium. The plaid cotton blend material features colors of green, red, yellow/gold and a contrasting green fabric ruffle underneath.
Features of this terrific dress include a scooped neckline with attached fabric ruffles (one in matching plaid and one in green),
bust darts from the side seams

short puff sleeves with matching plaid fabric piping, elastic
along the sides of the
waistline,
matching
fabric
ruffle secured along the bottom of the skirt with tied scoops revealing the green fabric ruffle underneath, and a metal back zipper for closure. There are two sashes included: one is matching plaid....the other is yellow/gold.

plaid sash/belt measures 87 inches x 1 3/4 inches......The gold sash measures 45 inches and is open on the ends (sewn to 3/4 inches wide in the center).
This vintage square dance dress is in very good condition with the following minor flaws: There is a 1 inch open seam on the right bust dart.....The remnants of a piece of tape on the INSIDE of the upper right side of the zipper which is not visible from the outside.

How I measure clothing:
Measurements are of the garment...not the wearer. Please be sure to allow an inch of two for comfort.
Garment is measured while flat on a table. Please measure clothing that fits you well
before
you place bid to make sure this garment will fit you. All clothing, unless otherwise noted, is in
used
condition and will show some signs of wear. I will do my best to note every flaw that I find in the auction's description. I am only human and may miss something.
Fiber Content Information/Cleaning/Mending:
If the fiber content tag is still attached to the garment, I will state the information in the description. If there is no content tag, I will do my best to describe the material.... All garments will need to be hand laundered, machine laundered or dry cleaned prior to use, unless I state in the auction that I have cleaned it. Some vintage fabrics require professional dry cleaning and I do not have a reliable cleaner in my area. Other vintage fabrics require special care and I dare not attempt using harsh chemicals or risk damage to the item. I will, however, clean garments if I feel comfortable doing so.
Due to my lack of sewing skills, any item requiring mending will be left to the new owner.
Refund Policy
:
If you are unhappy with your purchase, please email within 48 hours of receiving the package and state you will be returning the item. Refund will be given as soon as item is returned and inspected.
US buyers: Item must be returned within 30 days of auction's end.
International buyers: Items must be returned in original packing using same method of shipping.
All items must be in the same condition as received. Clothing items must be UNWORN!! Full refund plus one way shipping for items returned that were my fault....all others will have no shipping refund. No refunds for International purchases that were refused for customs fees.
Non-Smoking Household. Items secured from other locations may have been subjected to other environmental odors. We do have a cat.
