For sale is a vintage 3lb.10.7 oz. straight peen sledge hammer, or wood splitting maul, or blacksmiths hot cutter, with a 5-13/16" head, with a 1-11/16" octagonal face, and a 2-7/16" wide straight peen, measuring 14-1/8" long overall. Unbranded, it originally had a leather washer handle, but you could do it up in a split wood handle Perfect Handle design as well. The face and peen are excellent, with a rough and rugged patina and texture, as pictured. Possibly a early Estwing{??}, this is a wonderful project piece and restoration candidate.
