    Description

    This vibrant vintage 60s black sheath dress features an amazing Bird of Paradise print.
    There are no tags, but it is a commercially made garment.
    Nylon back zipper, hook and thread eye at top of zipper, neck and armhole facings, and back hem slit.
    100% polished cotton fabric. Recently laundered with fragrance-free products.
    It has been skillfully mended on the right midriff area where the fabric was pulling away from the seam. Barely noticeable.
    Here's the info on the sizing and alterations:
    Armpit to armpit flat 17.5 x 2 = 35". Taken in 3/4" on both sides. Let out will measure 38".
    Waist side to side flat 13.75 x 2 = 27.5". Taken in 1.25" on both sides. Let out will measure 32.5".
    Hip side to side flat 18" x 2 = 36". Taken in 1.25 on both sides. Let out will measure 41".
    Shoulders have been taken up 1.75". This has made the armhole smaller. It can be reversed to the original size.
    Front and back waist darts have also been taken in. Let out, this will add approximately 5" to the torso of the dress.
    3" hand sewn hem which could be let down to the original length.
    So basically, the previous owner made a loose-fitting shift dress into a shape-fitting sheath dress.

We receive many generous donations from the community, many of which we won't use on stage. We are putting some of these items up for sale to raise funds to help purchase supplies for our costume shop.
